Jessica Peña Alvarado is a Texas attorney with more than twenty years of legal experience and a passion for helping individuals, families, healthcare organizations, small businesses, and entrepreneurs across a wide range of legal matters, helping clients make informed decisions and build strong foundations for growth.
As Laredo continued to expand as a center of commerce, entrepreneurship, and international trade, Jessica noticed a recurring challenge. Businesses were building valuable brands, creators were investing significant time and talent into their work, and entrepreneurs were transforming innovative ideas into successful companies. Yet many did not fully recognize the value of the intellectual property they were creating or understand how it could be protected and leveraged to support long-term growth.
Recognizing this need inspired Jessica to pursue a long-standing interest in intellectual property law. In 2024, she returned to law school to pursue advanced studies in intellectual property and further develop her knowledge of trademarks, copyrights, brand protection, and intellectual property strategy. She earned her LL.M. (Master of Laws) in Intellectual Property from the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law and has continued her professional development through educational programs and training.
The knowledge and experience gained through these studies ultimately led to the creation of PALVA Intellectual Property Law Firm, a practice founded on the belief that South Texas businesses, entrepreneurs, creators, and innovators deserve access to intellectual property guidance that helps them identify opportunities, build stronger brands, and position themselves for future growth locally, nationally, and internationally.
