Welcome to the PALVA Client Portal
Your client portal is a confidential, attorney-client protected space where you can review and sign your engagement letter, update your intake information, exchange documents and messages with the firm, track deadlines and renewals, and pay invoices.
Portal access is by firm invitation only. You will receive your invitation after your consultation.
1. Complete your consultation
After your IP Discovery or Beyond IP consultation, the firm reviews your matter and runs a conflict check.
2. Receive your private invitation
You will receive an emailed invitation to activate your portal. You choose your own password — the link is single-use and private to you.
3. Review and sign your engagement letter
Your engagement letter, scope of work, and fees appear inside your portal for review and electronic signature.
4. Receive and pay your invoice
Once signed, your invoice is generated automatically — with any consultation credit already applied — and can be paid securely from your portal.
Welcome to the PALVA family, we are overjoyed to guide you in your journey.
Confidentiality, Attorney Work Product & Copyright
- Everything you share with PALVA Intellectual Property Law Firm, whether verbally or in writing, is treated as confidential. This includes information communicated through consultations, phone calls, video conferences, emails, website forms, text messages, and documents or materials you provide. PALVA is committed to maintaining client confidentiality in accordance with the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct and the American Bar Association Model Rules of Professional Conduct.
- This protection extends to prospective clients: information shared before or during a consultation stays confidential even if we never work together.
- Attorney work product — our notes, research, searches, strategy, analyses, opinions, templates, and drafts prepared for your matter — is privileged, confidential, and protected from disclosure.
- That same work product is also original authorship protected under the United States Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 102). PALVA retains ownership of the copyright in every document, search report, strategy memo, template, and filing draft we create, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
- As our client, you receive a paid, personal license to use our work product for your own matter — including the filings we prepare on your behalf. Please don't share, publish, resell, or hand our work to another firm or service to reuse, adapt, or file. If you'd like to use it beyond your matter, just ask; we grant permission generously when we're asked.
- Keeping our work confidential protects you as much as it protects us: your search results, strategy, and unfiled applications lose their advantage the moment they circulate, and privilege can be waived by disclosure to outsiders.
- No attorney-client relationship is created by this form, an email, a message, a payment, or a consultation. The attorney-client relationship is established only by a signed engagement letter with PALVA.
- Communications are transmitted over encrypted connections and stored in secure, access-controlled systems available only to the firm.
